Like I never left

How is it that I am busier than ever, yet I don't have a full-time job?

I seriously don't get it.

It doesn't help that I have been fighting with 2 state licensure departments and have to wait 12-16 weeks for one state, and then another 4-6 weeks for my home state. Um. School starts in 3 months. If I DO happen to get a job...I don't have time for this nonsense.

And another thing I don't understand? How can this house feel like we've done nothing and the work seems to have no end in sight, when we've been working on it non-stop for a month?

But all le stress has finally caught up with me as I am painfully exhausted and sick with a silly cold. Blegh.

I think it all began with one of the most exhausting, yet incredibly AMAZING weekends ever with my besties from college. I was one of the hosts for a bridal shower/bachelorette weekend. I don't think it helped that we stayed up until 5 a.m. baking on Friday night, and then we stayed up dancing and then chatting until 4 a.m. Saturday. My body absolutely hates me.

But it was SO worth it.

And this weekend was one for the books.

My whole drive home, I thought about how thankful I am for my dear friends. It is amazing that I can be gone for five years and miss out on SO much. Yet when I move back, I can jump right back in and feel like NO time has passed. It is so weird to think that I hadn't seen some of those girls in FIVE years. Sure didn't feel like it. Felt like we were out for the evening and heading back to the ADPI house to stay up and chat like we used to. Oh, the good ol' days.

Love my friends.

And this stupid cold is worth every minute spent with them!

Worth every swear word. These raspberry cupcakes took much longer than anticipated. But delicious.

Best gift ever. We've seen these before, and the bride LOVED it. A bottle for each "first"...first anniversary, first house, first fight, etc.

Happy Bride. Wait til you see her in her dress. Most stunning bride I've ever seen. Ever.

Hostess Besties. :)

Pi Girls. Has it seriously been 5 years? Can't be!

Private wine cellar.

A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.

Good job, Mother-of-the-Bride. So cute, right?

Ooh-la-la. She got LOTS of nice things. Hubby-To-Be, you're welcome. ;)

Bachelorette Props. Glow stick bracelets and necklaces. And buttons with the bride's face!

Bull Riding. It's not a true bachelorette party with out a bull.
