Depressing thought, serious peeve, & odd Christmas wish

Welcome to my jumbled melting pot of deep thoughts.

A few things are currently on my mind.

1). Am I getting (gasp) old?

We went to New Moon on Friday (which in itself made me feel quite elderly thanks to all the glitter-wearing, Edward-crazed, acne-prone tweens) and Mr. Ruby just had to point out that the girl in front of us was wearing a "Seniors 2013" sweatshirt. Wow.

Oh, and just to add salt to the wound...I realized the other day that all the candidates I'm interviewing for our entry-level management positions were born in 1988. I like, actually remember 1988.

2). It gets dark way too early.

I mean, when it's 4:00 p.m. and it's already pitch black...that's just a bit too much. It makes my brain so confused. I always think it's 10:30 at night and feel tired all the time.

3). Most people have cool Christmas lists: Nintendo Wii, new iPhone, Movado watch. Just to name a few.

I however, am asking for a white noise machine.

Does that make me weird?

We went to see The Blind Side and I was just shocked at how young the crowd was for New Moon....so don't feel bad!

I think I had all of these same thoughts this week except the sound machine. Don't feel too bad!

Not to rub salt in the wound, but I was born in '89! I have always had the problem though that I always feel older than my generation.

Ha! I can relate.

Oh, and my husband and I sleep with a floor fan for noise. We are addicted because we both sleep great with it! So I think the noise machine is a good idea!

Ahhh I can relate to all of these! You aren't old :) I especially dislike how it gets so dark so early :(

I just stumbled across your blog from Kristin's... I bought my baby that white noise machine and then stole it from him. And we just left the NE! Miss it much.
