Bumpdate: 36 Weeks

Oh.my.word.

I will be considered full-term in 2 days.

That means a baby could come any day now...or a lot of days from now. (I have a feeling it's going to be the latter...)

And honestly, I don't have that "Get her the heck out of me, I'm so over being pregnant" feeling yet. And it's been around 105-110 degrees for a countless number of weeks.

Baby Girl is happy as a little clam inside of me right now.

And I'm making up for lost time for those first and second trimesters where I *gasp* hated being pregnant.

I'm loving it now.

So she can stay inside all she wants. For now. ;)

How Far Along: Two more days of being 36 weeks. NINE MONTHS, PEOPLE.

Maternity Clothes: Oh my word. I am SO over the rotation of the same outfits. But I refuse to buy any more clothes...and haven't in months.

I'm getting a little nervous about my couple of weeks in the classroom...not sure what I'm going to wear. No one will judge a 9 1/2 month pregnant mama for wearing spaghetti straps, right???

Gender: GIRL!!!

Movement: Sassy pants is still really high. And there is NO room for her to move. I think this makes her angry because she's been punching the daylights out of me. But I love every moment. ;)

Sleep: I went through about a week period of insomnia. But, I'm back to sleeping through the night like a baby. I mean, don't get me wrong. I am now waking up twice a night at the exact same time for pee breaks, and I wake up about every hour just to get re situated, but I'm able to fall back into a deep sleep.

But heaven help me with these dreams. They are intense. And scary. And really weird. And I will never share any of them.

What I miss: Time with my hubby. Our schedules have been so insane, and I'm starting to get really sad that it's not going to be just the two of us any more. We HAVE to make some time...little one is going to be here before we know it.

Cravings: So. I had my first legit craving. And it only took 36 weeks. The other night, I HAD to get my hands on some Edy's Slow Churned chocolate ice cream. I left the house at 11:00 at night to go get some.

And last night, I made my sweet hubs get me some reduced fat Cheese-Its. I HAD to have them.

Other crazy symptoms: Braxton Hicks contractions, like whoa. I mean, I've had these suckers since week 24 or 25, but they've been pretty strong lately! And on that note, I just got back from the doc, and I'm dilated 1 cm and 50% effaced. TMI? Eh. There's no such thing anymore. But this piece of info really means absolutely nothing as I could be stuck there for weeks...but it's nice to know those contractions are definitely working.

Size of Babe: Watermelon - seriously? It is definitely to the point where I absolutely believe there is a watermelon in there.

Best Moment this week
1). Classroom is pretty much set up and ready to go for the year. It's an odd feeling. I'm SUPER motivated to go back to school, but I will only be there for 2 weeks (at most). It's going to be odd not knowing my students very well...and g0ing back to work around Thanksgiving. Cray-cray.

2). Got our maternity pics back. Oh my word. They are amazing. Here is a little tease-a-roni. And actually, all you get is a peek at the adorable packaging my dear photographer friend Ali uses. Love.

Bump Pic:

Nursery updates and maternity pics coming soon! ;)

Yay! It was so good to see you this weekend. Even though I wish the circumstances were different. Good luck in your last weeks. Lyla will be here before you know it! :)

I can definitely see how weird it would be to teach for 2 weeks, and then go onto maternity. Growing up I never had a teacher go on maternity leave, but I know lots of other people who did. I guess it definitely makes the year different, as if it already wasn't going to be different for you.
