Now Introducing...

So, I started this blog almost a year and a half ago.

When I didn't fully understand the whole blog thing.

Sometimes...I still don't. Simply due my lack of technological savvyness. I mean, I have my own personal hot IT guy at home...why learn now, right?

But, I started the ol' blog because Mr. Ruby and I moved thousands of miles away from home. It was not only a fabulous outlet and stress release for me, but a great way for our fams to keep up with our new exciting adventures in New England. I really only told close friends and family about the blog.

Then, I realized that there was a whole bloggy WORLD out there. People whom I'd never met began reading and commenting...and I didn't quite fully understand at first. Now, I'm happy and proud to actually consider myself a blogger, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE reading others' blogs, making new blogger friends, and of course receiving comments from readers. It makes my DAY!!! It's amazing how you can make such strong connections with complete strangers...but I feel like I've made SO many friends. :)

With that being said, I actually get quite shy when people I know tell me in person that they read my blog. I literally start blushing and get a wee bit embarrassed, and I am NOT a shy person in the slightest. I am very aware that I share some of the most personal, vulnerable, and terrifyingly mortifying stories on the INTERNET...but sometimes I really feel like I'm writing in a secret diary. And then I'm brought to reality when I go home and have dear lifelong friends advise that they religiously read my blog - You know who you are...and I LOVE YOU!!!

Well, the blogging trend is def catching on quickly, evidenced by one of my DEAREST sorority sister best pals who is documenting the ups, downs, and exciting adventures of new home-ownership. Seriously, check out her blog!

And I have to make another introduction. This just shows how small the real world AND the bloggy world really is. As seen in my recent posts, I went home for a wedding this past weekend. I have known the bride for over 21 years, and it was SO awesome to meet some of her best friends from college. I felt like I knew these girls for years - they fit right in at home! Come to find out, one of her best friends from college is very into blogging...and writing, and style, and vintage fashion, and photography and really anything that is crafty, artistic, and just plain awesome. PLEASE check her out her ultra-cool blog and her very own website...yes, I said her own website!!!

AHHH! Oh my goodness. You are full of sweetness. I can't believe I met you and now you are on the other side of the COUNTRY. Some things are just wrong.

xoxo.

I am totally with you! I never imagined that I would "meet" so many awesome people and make so many great FRIENDS through blogging. And I LOVE reading your blog! :)

It is a little awkward when your blog world and real life world collide!! But also kind of fun! I am not shy at all, but like you, I get all tongue tied about this!

You sound like me! I beg people to read and follow my blog but when they tell me they do and talk about it I get all shy about it! What's that about?!

I felt really uncomfortable when I found out my mother in law's friends read my blog. Now I know who makes the weird anonymous comments tho...
