Mornings are my favorite

I am that girl.

Yes, I'm a morning person.

Most would say I'm a bit on the bubbly side, but I'm especially (and annoyingly) chipper in the mornings.

This can be frustrating for those who need a good hour and a couple cups of coffee to get going in the morning. I get several eye rolls when I happily say good morning to my co-workers. (What? I can't help that I skip and whistle as I enter the building...)

When Mr. Ruby and I first got married, my being a morning person took some getting used to for both of us. I mean, he sleeps until the last possible minute, stumbles out of bed, groggily gets ready, eats breakfast while still half asleep and grunts when I ask him questions. I however wake up every morning before my alarm goes off, jump out of bed immediately (I do NOT press snooze), shower, eat some breakfast and try to talk to my husband. It used to hurt my feelings when he would just look at me and not speak. I learned very quickly however that he was not ignoring me or giving me grunts for answers because he didn't love me...he honestly is not awake in the mornings. :)

This morning however, was a different story for me.

I could NOT get out of bed.

My alarm went off...twice.

I stayed in bed for about 5 extra minutes.

I walked downstairs, looked in the mirror an realized I had sleep lines all over my face. (I still had them 2 hours later and didn't realize until a co-worker mentioned it).

Why was this morning so different?

Because I had an amazing weekend. Hardly any sleep. LOTS of activity. Lots of sun. Even more fun.

I have now realized, I am destined to stay home and play all day long. No more of this work business. (Sigh). I guess I'll just think of next weekend to get me through to Friday...

I too am a morning person. It took me a long time to get use to people around me NOT being morning people.

I hope you have another great weekend in store, it looks like this past one, was GREAT!

I the completely opposite of you. A good day is when I only hit snooze once.

I am a grunter too! I physically cannot make myself speak in the morning.

Sounds like an amazing weekend!

I'm just like Mr. Ruby.. I can't even respond without growling or grunting at hubby. Everyone who sees me in the morning knows not to talk to me until my make up is on and my teeth are brushed. If it's before then, they are likely to get a mean look and a growl. However, after I've gotten ready.. I'm totally chipper and ready to take on the world! :)

PS. My word verification says, "glitta". Very klassy.

Those drinks looks amazing! I am not a morning person but neither is my husband so we usually don't speak much when it's super early.

P.S.- I played bowling on Wii a few weeks ago and my arm was sore for days.

P.P.S.- I quickly realized I was out of shape. But you look so in shape riding your bike!

OMG! I am the exact same way. it took my husband FOREVER to get used to it, and I could never understand why he wasnt WIDE awake as soon as he woke up. He is useless until he gets a shower and some corn pops haha. Looks like you had a great time a long the coast!!!

My future hubby is either like your husband is in the morning or he is BRIGHT EYED AND BUSHY TAILED ready to go. Sometimes it is too much for me to even handle! lol I never know which morning personality I am going to get! :-)

I'm the same way in the mornings... you know it's a good weekend when it affects your morning-person peppiness :-)

Me and my boyfriend are just like you guys! I LOVE getting up early and having a leisurely, laid-back morning whereas my boyfriend gets out of bed at the last possible minute and spends the whole morning rushing around!!

Looks like you had a great weekend though. Spending a lot of time out in the sun always makes me absolutely exhausted!
