He is such a good guy.
Why?
Well, for many reasons. But he's a reeeeally good sport because not only did he go see New Moon with me on opening night, but he did the same for Dear John.
We walked into the movie theater last night, and I kid you not, I think we saw over 200 teenage girls. There were lines everywhere, and Mr. Ruby goes, "I'm sure they're here to see something else."
Wrong.
We went into the theater, and it was me, my sweet husband, and 200 chatty, texting, giggling, obnoxious teenage girls.
Needless to say, the movie was great. Although, it did have some pretty big differences from the book. My biggest pet peeve in the entire world is when movies are different from the book.
But, it was still a good movie. And man, oh man...what a TEARJERKER! Then again, I sobbed both the first and second time reading the book.
Of course the book/movie hits me in a special way because I actually know what it's like to go through such terrible distance between you and your soul mate. And to have no idea where they are or even if they're okay. And to not have any form of communication but letters.
But I do have to say, Mr. Ruby and I's letters knocked theirs out of the ballpark on the romance-o-meter. :) I'm just sayin...

Ohhh I want to see Dear John so bad! Mr. Ruby is a great sport!!
Glad you enjoyed it! I still can't decide if I want to go see it. I've read the book though.
Dude, he sounds like he rocks. Get him a fab vday present - way to go Mr. Ruby!
The book was awesome even if the end sucked some. I liked how the movie ended. I would have liked to have Channing Tatum in the tattoos described in the book.
I really want to see Dear John too, but after reading 3 of his books, I'm sensing a "theme" going on. I just don't want more people to die at the end and then I have to cryyyyyyyyyy cry cry crycrycry and then look like poop for the rest of the day!
I'll probably wait for video, just in case that happens ;)
