Seriously. Love at first sight.
Tried my first Skype session this evening.
Fell. in. love.
One of the downs of traveling is that I am away from my little family on a weekly basis. It is so hard not to see my Mr. Ruby and the pups.
Skype allows me to see them so I'm not so homesick.
Man. I wish they had this thing when Mr. Ruby and I went through four TREACHEROUS years of long distance.
I mean seriously. It could have made things quite a bit easier on us.
We had a good little session tonight, and even the pups got on to say hello! :)

I just think how tough it must have been for our grandparents and great grands. Esp. when they went off to war. We take forgranted all the technology that we have these days... Although I do envy all the handwritten notes my grandparents still have. Its a lost art!

Aww, that is so neat! We went through a year or so of long distance too while we went to different universities. It was hard... but Skype would have made it soo much easier and more fun! Hope you have a great day :-)

I loooove skype!! When TBF is away, we always ichat or skype and it makes everything seem so much easier. I'm going to start using it with my parents, too. I set up an account for them last weekend. I love technology! :)
Skype is pretty awesome. It allows me to see my family back home and my mom loves it!
Skype is awesome! My husband was visiting his family in Colombia and I skyped them so that I could see the big reveal when he told them we were pregnant! So fun!
And Lucas and I did the long distance thing for 3 years, too! We used web cams and MSN Messenger but they didn't work as good as the built-in cameras in computers now with Skype. Can't wait to put it to use so that Lily Ann's grandparents overseas can see her!

That is awesome! So glad you get to see your family now :) I went through the same long distance with my hubby when we were dating...it was awful!
